A recently married couple, anticipating a serene three-day honeymoon at the Sandals Royal Bahamian resort, was left disappointed and frustrated. Despite shelling out nearly $5,000 for an all-inclusive experience, the stay turned out to be far from the relaxing vacation they envisioned.

Sam Doll, the woman behind the viral TikTok detailing her experience, expressed her displeasure with the resort. According to her, the stay primarily involved a chilly pool and incessant interruptions from resort staff, who were persistently pushing them to spend more money on photos and activities.

The couple opted for an all-inclusive resort to eliminate the stress of planning and budgeting during their vacation. However, Sam revealed that the staff at Sandals Royal Bahamian consistently tried to upsell them, creating a less-than-ideal experience. The frustration led her to share her dissatisfaction on TikTok, garnering over 6 million views in less than a week.

In her video, Sam emphasized that the purpose of such an all-inclusive experience is to avoid thinking about additional expenses. She had chosen Sandals Royal Bahamian based on a positive experience at a similar resort in Mexico.

Despite attempting to avoid the persistent sales pitches by avoiding eye contact with staff in the halls, the couple found it challenging to enjoy their privacy. Sam attributed the staff's behavior to what she perceived as a no-tipping policy at Sandals, suggesting that workers might be overzealous in their attempts to secure commissions.

While her video received significant attention and numerous comments, Sam claimed there had been no response from Sandals regarding her negative review. She recommended that the company encourage tipping and discourage staff from continuously approaching guests if they want to provide a genuinely relaxing experience.

Business Insider reached out to Sandals for comment and clarification on its tipping policy but did not receive a response before publication. Sam, despite her negative experience, received recommendations from regulars for alternative all-inclusive Caribbean vacations, showing that the disappointing stay at Sandals hasn't soured everyone on the concept.
